it's gas station retail every place and manager will make a different experience

you are expected to do more work then you are paid for. my work load was at least 12 hours/day including running till. HR doesn't care about your rights or ensuring a safe working environment as per the law. High turn over at all levels, human rights complaints are ignored by management.

It's a good job

I've been with this company, over a decade on and off. Helped me through my brother's death in 2003. Recently, helped me through my stroke. They care about you as a person, and employee. 7 eleven is like my family

Productive and fun work place

Your "regulars" are wonderful!

Training is non existent in store. Your training consists of sitting in the office looking at the online training courses for hours. Management plays favourites with employees. Communication is non existent between management and other shift workers. All work is out on one shift (2nd at my store). They have the big company brain.

Work very hard with no appreciation

Do not work with this Company. They have no regard for their employees. They only care about their Corporate Employees. Closed the store with a notification of Two Weeks. Severance package was Sign the package with two week severance. worked for them for Two years and worked every Holiday. If you want to still work for them you have to reapply.

Fast paced

Depends if you work for corporate store or franchise. You get benefits in corporate setting. No benefits for franchise unless you are management. High turnover due to short staff. This is not just cashier job. Must upsell, clean,stock,lifting is a must. Constant schedule changes. Not a good fit for anyone as a second job.
