Once you’ve started a Franchise you can’t add newly created players as it can’t override the file. You’d have to add the players to the team and then start a new Franchise file. Aforman1234

Go through your expansion draft. 6. Go through your entry draft now. 7. Go through your re-sign phase. 8. Go to contracts or skip to free agency. 9. Now you are at the place where your in-assigned player will show up in the sign free agents screen. 10. Now that you’ve turned off you salary cap, you can offer your player a max of 15 million per season. It worked for me.

Title says it all. There's the option in the current one to have a conversation with the GM but the only option I've seen is to request a trade. You should be able to have more options. Similar to how players will complain about the coach, or how the team needs better defense, or goaltending in franchise mode.
