- Step 1: Pick a solid roster such as the original default roster (I am attaching one to this thread) and remove any modified DB template.dat and Uniform.dat from your Madden 08/My Documents/Folder

Why is Madden stinking?
Basically, it's because Madden stinks at drafting. For example, one team picked three third-string-worthy quarterbacks in one draft. Frankly, if Madden GMed a team in real life, they'd be fired before the draft ended.
